Evaluation of engineering properties of conductive honeycomb monoliths, open-cell ceramic and metallic foams, and some other structured packings as enhanced catalyst supports in non-adiabatic tubular reactors for gas-solid exo- or endo-thermic processes. Literature correlations were collected for various characteristics. Geometrical characterization, Pressure drop, Heat and mass transport properties, and Effective heat transfer. Additionally there is a list of available prototypes and a list of the most relevant patents.
