This is the final report of Task B6f on spatially-resolved diffusion and reaction in internally limited catalytic systems. There are three major transport mechanisms inside the catalytic particle: species flow due to diffusion driving forces (which divides in continuum and Knudsen contributions), viscous flow and surface diffusion. The most adopted models (Fick, Extended Fick, Dusty Gas and Cylindrical Pore Interpolation) were tested by modeling the transport-reaction problem in a wash-coat layer in contact with a gas environment, whose composition is fixed, uniform and constant.
