This document reflects recent developments in Machine Learning oriented towards Process Modeling and Control while providing a comprehensive introduction to the fields of machine learning.
It is both an academic course and a practical manual which should help and inspire researchers in kinetic modeling and process control new to the field of machine learning. To cast the mathematical concepts and analysis in a concrete numerical setting, 5 notebooks in Python are provided to illustrate the main concepts, including feature selection, missing data, model selection, and outlier detection.
