Comprehensive study on optimizing catalyst support pore size distribution for catalytic fixed beds. Implementation and comparison of four models (ε/τ model, random pore model, path percolation theory, and effective medium theory with smooth field approximation). These are used for predicting effective diffusion coefficients in catalyst pellets. Two reactions, phthalic anhydride, and methanol synthesis, served as benchmarks to assess model performances.
